It doesn’t matter how old you are or what sex you are, the chances are good you had some sort of smellies for Christmas. But before you re-wrap some of these bottles of perfumes and body sprays why not think about recycling it in one of these weird and wonderful ways…
Top 10 Ways To Recycle Leftover Perfume
..
10 – Make Your Drawers Smell Good
Simply soak a few cotton balls in that leftover perfume, let them dry, then pop them into that cheap looking purse / jewellery pouch you have laying around. Once the smell starts to fade simply top up the cotton balls with new ones!
9 – Make Artificial Flowers
You can make the flowers from whatever you like, but if you make them to look like the smell of the perfume you will be spraying onto them it will add to how good them are.
8 – Long Lasting Air Freshener
If you spray perfume or cologne on the underside of a wooden bookshelf it will last for weeks because the wood holds scent and will release it very slowly, over several weeks!
7 – Make The House Smell Nice
You can make a whole room smell nice by picking up the comers of a rug or carpet and spraying the underside with cologne or perfume. This also has the double effect of holding the rug in place a little better as well.
6 – Hair Styled
By spraying cologne on a damp towel then drying your hair with it will stiffen up the hair slightly make it look more styled and wild. This tip is best done by us men or girls with short hair as it is not the strongest of holds.
5 – Diffuser
Simply buy some wooden reeds or use some wild ones to make your own diffuser! The best part of this one is you can use the empty perfume bottle to hold it!
4 – Car Air Freshener
Simply spraying some perfume onto a fabric softener sheet will create a homemade air freshener that you can hang in your car and make it in any shape you want!
3 – Air Diffuser
By spraying any metal lamps or light shades with some perfume or body spray it will create a cheap air diffuser that will last for weeks! Just remember to let any gas / alcohol vapor die down for a while before you turn the light on.
2 – Scented Lotion
Take some basic unscented moisturiser (that you might have received as a gift as well) and combine the perfume to make the ultimate homemade body lotion! Probably best to keep this one away from the face.
1 – Linen Spray
Mixing some perfume with a little dash of water will make a great linen spray that will last for days and make the whole room smell nice!
