Arrow Electronics, Inc. (NYSE:ARW) today reported third-quarter 2017 sales of $6.95 billion, an increase of 17 percent from sales of $5.94 billion in the third quarter of 2016. Third-quarter net income of $135 million, or $1.50 per share on a diluted basis, compared with net income of $118 million, or $1.28 per share on a diluted basis, in the third quarter of 2016. Excluding certain items1, net income would have been $163 million, or $1.82 per share on a diluted basis, in the third quarter of 2017, compared with net income of $143 million, or $1.56 per share on a diluted basis, in the third quarter of 2016.
