Google Drive Will Give You 2GB Of Storage For Free If You Do Security Checks

Google Drive Will Give You 2GB Of Storage For Free If You Do Security Checks

If you aren’t using cloud storage in this day and age, then I suggest checking it out. There is so much free cloud storage out there that you could conceivably keep all of your photos online, without the need for a physical hard drive at all.

But we can get into the logistics of the cloud another time. Here, I’d just like to inform you about a neat little deal Google has for those of you who use Google Drive, their particular cloud service.

If you are willing to simply perform a little security check, they will give you an extra 2 GB of storage in your Google Drive. The check itself is quick and painless, and all you have to do is verify the basic things, like your password, e-mails, and security questions.

You’ll also get the opportunity to review your recent log-ins (to check for suspicious activity), and see the apps that have access to your account. After that, you should see the two GB of extra storage space be added to your Google Drive account by the end of the month.

Why is Google offering this? Well, it’s a win-win for them. They get to make sure you understand a little bit about how your account is secured, and get to give you a reason to use their cloud service over the ones offered by Microsoft and Apple.

That said, there’s no reason for you to not take advantage of this promotion. Two free gigabytes of data is nothing to scoff at, especially when it’s getting more and more popular to save things to the cloud.

Did you get your 2 free gigabytes? What do you think of cloud storage? Comment below!
